Lahore—Inspector General Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has awarded cash prize and appreciation certificates to Station House Officer Sadar Kasur along with two police officials on arresting a notorious proclaimed offender after rejecting an offer of two million rupees bribe, in a ceremony held at Central Police Office today.
According to the details, SHO Sadar Kasur, Muhammad Younus was on duty at check-post at Ferozpur road along with other police officials when a suspicious car (registration number LEB-3379) with three passengers inside was stopped and checked. Five million rupees and one Mauser pistol were found on searching the car. On checking the CNIC number, the suspect was identified as a proclaimed offender in a double murder case in Raiwind area.
The perpetrator, on being exposed, offered two million rupees bribe to police officials to let him go but the dedicated police officials not only denied the offer but also called SHO City, Raiwind and handed over the perpetrator, vehicle and recovered amount of five million rupees, setting an example of integrity and uprightness for the force.
