Shipping activity remained active at Port Qasim where three ships MSC Mykonos, Al-Soor-II, and Maria-III carrying containers, siesel oil and LPG were arranged berthing at Qasim international Container Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Wednesday (March 1st).
Meanwhile, an oil tanker Ghetty Bottiglieri and container ship CMA CGM Corneille also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours. Forty seven percent berth occupancy observed at the Port on Wednesday where a total of seven ships namely MSC Mykonos, Maersk Memphis, MSC Silvana, Nordic Gas, Maria-III, Bunga Akasia and Al-Soor-II were occupied PQA at berths to load/offload containers, LPG, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 97,763 tonnes, comprising 49,561 tonnes import cargo and 48,602 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,919 containers (TEUs) (361 imports TUEs & 2,558 TUEs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours. C.V MSC Mykonos and M.T Bunga Akasia sailed out to sea on Thursday morning, while two more ships C.V MSC Silvana and M.T Maria-III are expected to sail on same day.
