SBP meeting reviews progress of sports projects


Lahore—Director General Sports Punjab, Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman said on Wednesday that (SBP) under the directives of Chief Minister Punjab , Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, will continue to build top class sports facilities in the province.
“We will be adding state of the art sports infrastructure in the province to engage the youth in sports activities,” he said while addressing an important meeting here at National Hockey Stadium.
The meeting was held to review the progress of sports facilities of four divisions-Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal and Multan. Director Sports Muhammad Anees Sheikh, Deputy Director Hafeez Bhatti, Deputy Director Tariq Wattoo, Assistant Director Waqas Akbar, all divisional, district and tehsil sports officers of the province also attended the meeting.
The meeting was told that majority of gymnasiums and grounds have been completed while finishing touches are being given to some of the sports projects in the province.
Addressing the meeting, DG SBP said Sports Board Punjab will complete all the sports facilities including gymnasiums, grounds and playfields throughout the Punjab province in shortest possible time.—APP
