S Lankan concern over IHK HRs violations


Colombo—There are serious concerns on the slamming situation in the India Occupied Kashmir with reference to the brutal killings of innocent civilians and grave violation of the fundamental human rights by the Indian Security Forces “ states the Sri Lankan monthly news magazine “Zeilan”.
The Zeilan publication was launched at the recent International Islamic Conference held under the patronage of Prime minister Ranil Wickremasinghe in Colombo last August.
“In these times of democracy and accountability the international community cannot remain passive to the callous behaviour and grave violation of human rights” said Pakistan High Commissioner
In Sri Lanka Major General (Rtd) Syed Shakeel Hussein in an interview with “Zeilan” Kashmir dispute is a constant source of tension and instability in the region and a threat to international peace and security. Pakistan remains committed to peacefully resolving the dispute in accordance with the relevant resolution of the UN Security Council. Pakistan will continue to extend its moral and diplomatic support for realization of the right to self-determination of the people of Kashmir.—Agencies
