Rs15m provided to Allied Hospitals


Rawalpindi—An amount of Rs 15 million has been provided to all Allied hospitals including Holy Family, Benazir Bhutto and District Headquarter hospitals to ensure better health facilities to the people under the Healthy Punjab Programme, said District Coordination Officer (DCO) Talat Gondal here Wednesday.
The DCO said that three computers are also being provided to each hospital for data entry. He said Rs 750 million have been spent on the upgradation of new outdoor patient department (OPD) in Benazir Bhutto hospital (BBH) while Rs 1.2 billion has been allocated in the 2016-17 budget for four model hospitals in the city.
Gondal said the Punjab government is expanding the scope of health cover to the district and a huge amount has been allocated for this purpose.—APP
