Reverence for Law

52

Whatever one sees on the premises of the National Accountability Court (NAB) in Islamabad or even outside of its premises, to many like me who are humble disciples of law and political science, it does not send a message of reverence and respect for law, for courts, and rule of law and rule of justice, but a message of moral confusion and laxity in the enforcement of law. Above all, whatever one has to watch in various television talk shows, it is also unbearable and irrational. It is not the vocation of every Tom, Dick and Harry to interpret law. But who cares in this country; big shots get big treatment and the poor get poor treatment.
