Rajwana inspects polio counters at civil hospital



Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana paid a surprise visit to Civil Hospital Bahawalpur here Monday. During his visit, Governor Punjab inspected emergency wards, outdoor patient wards, pharmacy and other facilities of the hospital. He was accompanied by Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal, Dr. Ehsan Firdous and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.
Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana went to the beds of the admitted patients and inquired of the medical services provided to them.
He expressed satisfaction on the response of the patients that they were being extended decent health cover in the hospital. Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana also inspected the polio counters. He directed the officials concerned conducting polio eradication campaign to mobilize all available resources to attain the envisaged targets of vaccination.
He also directed Medical Superintendent Civil Hospital to establish separate portion for female patients to provide medical treatment to them in a conducive, comfortable and decent environment. In recognition of services of Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital Prof Ghiyasun Nabi Tayyab, Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana awarded him a commendatory shield during the 24th National Neurololgy Conference held in a local hotel.—APP
