Rail car service between Hyderabad Karachi demanded


Hyderabad—Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) has demanded to launch Rail car service twice in a day from Hyderabad to Karachi with objective to save the precious lives of the commuters.
Addressing a news conference here on Sunday HCCI’s Chairman Sub Committee on Railways, Ziauddin Qureshi, who also acted as the vice president in previous executive body of HCCI said that because of conversion of Super highway into Motor-way, the commuters between the two cit-ies were facing lethal risks as diversions created in haste by the company con-cerned were substandard.
Recalling the losses of precious lives as a result of accidents on Super highway as well as damages to properties, Ziaud-din Qureshi said that traders and industri-alists were also suffering huge financial losses following the delay in delivery of raw materials for industries of Hyderabad.
There is no quota reserved in the down trains from Hyderabad to Karachi however around 1385 sears are reserved for Hy-derabad in up country trains from Karachi, he said and suggested that special Rail car service consisting six coaches from Hyderabad to Karachi twice in a day not only provide sigh of relief to citizens of Hyderabad but it would be beneficial for Pakistan Railways as well.
He demanded to Minister Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique to issue directives for launching six coach Rail car service in morning and evening hours daily from Hy-derabad to Karachi so that commuters could get safe journey for Karachi.—APP
