It is disheartening that General Raheel Sharif, the pride of our country, who served the county in an exemplary manner, stands retired after completing 3-year tenure as Army chief. He has done a great job as the COAS. As is said, nothing is permanent in this world, even the sun, which rises early in the morning, too has to set in when its time gets completed.
At the same time, we are happy that Gen. Raheel has left the Service with his head held high and he has left a rich legacy behind him which, it is hoped, would be carried forward by his successor, the new COAS, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, who is equally known as professional soldier from tip to toe. Welcome General Bajwa to an eventful career.
