Quality education to every child govt’s priority

Sargodha—Provincial Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan Saturday said imparting quality education to every child was the priority of Punjab government. Talking to the media persons during the inaugural ceremony of engineering block here at the University of Lahore Campus, he said the government was striving hard for providing best education to male and female students. Rana Mashhood said the provincial government was constructing 36,000 classrooms and inducting 70,000 teachers besides establishing early childhood educational institutes across the province.
Billion of rupees were being spent for provision of missing facilities in schools and special attention was also being paid to encourage outstanding students, he added. Answering a question regarding permanent appointment of the Vice Chancellor (VC) at University of Sargodha (UOS), he said that a case was under proceeding before the court and after its decision a regular VC would be appointed in the University.—APP
