PTI fails to deliver in KP: Muqam

Imran’s ego made PTI politically isolated, Oct 30 call certain to fail: Kundi
Peshawar—Advisor to Prime Minister, Engineer Ameer Muqam, criticizing PTI Chief, Thursday said people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were suffering from prolonged sense of deprivation owing to useless sit-ins and political misadventures of Imran Khan.
Addressing a press conference at Peshawar Press Club, he said that useless political manoeuvring of Imran Khan and his ineffective Dharnas have multiplied miseries of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who voted PTI into power on the slogan of change.
He said that Imran Khan has failed to deliver in KP and sense of deprivation among people has been increasing. He said ineffective policies have also affected progress in KP that is far behind in developmental process as compared to other provinces of the country.
Muqam said that Imran Khan should abandon his Ehetesab drama and focus his energies for development of KP and resolve issues confronted by its people. He said that PML-N would show a power play on October 16 against the Dharan politics of Imran Khan in which MPA, Jamshed Mohmand along with his friends would announce joining PML-N. The PM Advisor said that federal government was taking sincere steps to resolve core issues of people adding ongoing developmental and welfare projects including construction of Lawari Tunnel, Sui gas provision schemes, Sweet Homes and establishment of Passport Offices in Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi and Karak are proofs of its policies to benefit all and sundry without any distinction.
Meanwhile, the leaders of mainstream political parties here on Thursday said Imran Khan’s egoism and habit of taking solo flights on non issues has made Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaf politically isolated and the October 30 shutdown call would cause further solitude of the party came into power in KP on the name of ‘Change’.
Faisal Karim Kundi, former Deputy Speaker National Assembly and PPP leader, told APP on Thursday that PTI has been politically isolated owing to PTI Chief’s egoism and habit of taking solo flights on non issues for personal gains and his lust for powers to reach the power corridors, trampling down all democratic norms under his feet.
Kundi alleged that PTI was using official machinery to mobalize people for success of Islamabad shutdown call, adding the fate of October 30 call would not be different than Islamabad 2014 aimless Dharna.
Kundi said today’s even PTI’s allied parties Qumi Watan Party and Jumat e Islamii in KP were trying to keep themselves away shutdown call of Islamabad as their leadership knew that people wanted solution of their problems rather than agitation.
“Imran Khan trumpeting issues which are of no concern to general masses as they wanted resolution of their basic civic problems like improved heath care facilities, quality education and clean drinking water at their doorsteps,” he explained.—APP
