PM will have to answer about Panama Papers


Sukkur—Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has said that Prime Minister will have to answer to questions about Panama Papers. Talking to media persons here, Khursheed Shah regretted that the Prime Minister was not attending the parliament regularly. He said the Prime Minister is not fully aware of the powers of Parliament otherwise he would not have adopted such an attitude towards the elected house and the nation. He said it was the Parliament, which saved the government of Nawaz Sharif otherwise time had come to pack up the government. He said if Peoples Party joins any rally or sit in, its sole purpose is to promote democracy because they are supporters of democracy in the country. The opposition leader said that important problems and challenges facing the country would be raised at the coming session of the National Assembly. Answering a question about Pak-India relations, Khursheed Shah said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expects good behaviour from his Indian counterpart but the reality is quite opposite. Meanwhile, it is also reported that the Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, strongly condemned the Shikarpur suicide blast. Talking to journalists here, Khursheed Shah said that his party had made it clear to Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would never support the idea of staging a demonstration outside the residence of any opponent.
He said that the PPP would bring about change through democracy and not by any other means. The PPP leader said that Sindh Assembly’s PS-127 Malir seat belonged to the PPP which the party gained through fair elections and not through rigging.—APP
