PM lauds LEAs for Ashura peaceful role


Islamabad—Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday lauded the law enforcement agencies on ensuring peace during the Ashura days of Muharram.
‘The law enforcement agencies and their each and every member deserve acknowledgment for not letting the enemies of country succeed in their designs,’ the Prime Minister said in a message.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction that the entire nation demonstrated a spirit of unity and the occasion was marked with respect and peace across the country.
‘I also want to appreciate the countrymen for their consciousness and sense of responsibility who not only showed vigilance but gave a message to the world that Pakistani nation is overcoming their trivial differences,’ he said.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over peaceful ending of Ashura e Muharram and praised the performance of police and other law enforcement agencies.
According to the spokesman, the Chief Minister also appreciated the efforts of members provincial cabinet committee for making best security arrangements for the protection of life and property of people during Muharram-ul-Haram,in particular Yaum-e-Ashur.
While, talking to media, CM Sindh expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and said that district administrations and organizers cooperated a lot. He is himself monitoring the entire situation, he added. CM said that security is on high alert and efforts are being done to make security fool proof.
He also said that police and Rangers are doing their job very well and hoped that no bad incident would take place on the day.—APP
