The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed two ketchup factories over substandard production, recovered thousands of kilogram low grade ketchup, mayonnaise which was disposed off later. It also recovered 28000 packets of gutka and arrested an accused.
Headed by Additional Director General (AIG) Operations Rafiq Haider, the PFA team conducted operations against factories producing substandard ketchup, mayonnaise and gutka suppliers in village Khudian Khas of district Kasur. During operations, the PFA sealed two factories over manufacturing substandard ketchup, recovered 6000 kilogram substandard ketchup, 4000 kilogram mayonnaise which were disposed off later.
The PFA team also arrested a ‘gutka’ supplier after recovery of 28,000 packets of ‘gutka’.—INP
