Pesco to be made profitable organization: Shabbir

Newly appointed Pesco Chief Shabbir Ahmed said that he had set four major targets which includes, making Pesco a profitable organization, issue of overbilling and minimizing the loadshedding in the province and had set his goal to stop the corruption from the department.
This he said while addressing as chief guest at the reception arranged by the Small Industrial Estate Association Abbottabad here on the other day.
Pesco KP Chief in his first leg of tour after assuming charge of Chief Executive of Pesco, he said that we are committed to provide better and efficient service to the consumers for which he asked the consumers to pay off their dues well in time so the developmental works and projects with the replacement of the old power supply installations can be replaced with the extension of power supply to other parts of the province.
Shabbir Ahmed informed that special feeder will be installed in Havelian Grid Station, Power supply will be functionalized in PH-III, Mardan Small Industrial Estates in current month, special feeders and power supply will be provided to Kohat and Dargai SIE and demand notice will be issued soon.
Managing Director of Small Industrial Development Board Rasheed Painda Khail speaking at the occasion said that currently 10 SIE are functional in the province while efforts are made to make operative 3 more which also includes the Havelian Phase.II for which land measuring 372 kanals has been acquired and developmental work will be started in the month of April this year and plots will be shortly made available to the industrialists.
Earlier, president of the SIE Abbottabad Haji Iftekhar Ahmed in his welcome address informed that Abbottabad SIE is running above then its capacity and in most of the cases, two factories are working in one plot, banks and financial institutions has made clean offer to the industrialist for the financial facility and he paid thanks to the PESCO chief for the separate feeder for the SIE Abbottabad which had increased the output of the industries.
