Pakistan asks UN to send mission to IHK

Special Correspondent

New York—Tehmina Janjua, the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nation’s Geneva Office, urged the UN to send its mission to occupied Kashmir, in order to investigate the atrocities being committed by Indian security forces against Kashmiris.
Tehmina Janjua said that the inhumane treatment given to Kashmiris by the Indian security forces was concerning. She called on the United Nations to send its mission to occupied Kashmir and said that India was deliberately portraying Kashmiris’ movement for independence as terrorism.
World must know that it was India who took Kashmir as a dispute to the UN Security Council on Jan 1st, 1948, pledged self-determination right to Kashmiris. She should fulfill her promises made to the UN, world and to the Kashmiris.
