Brother Muslim countries – Pakistan and Turkey – enjoy very warm relations which continue to gain strength with the passage of time. The brotherly ties between the two countries exist both at the government and the peoples’ levels and this can be presented as an example to the entire world. It is also heartening to note that leadership of both the countries have developed personal rapport which augurs well for the further strengthening of deep close ties and closer economic and trade ties between the two countries.
Existing brotherly close ties between Turkey and Pakistan stand further strengthened by the recent visit to Pakistan of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Though the visit was very short – just two-days – yet it was full of warmth, enthusiasm and sincerity. The visiting dignitary had the singular distinction to address Pak Parliament for a third time. However, it was very sad that the PTI boycotted the session. It is hoped that frequent exchange of visits at the top level will be playing a very important role in promoting and cementing further existing brotherly relations between Turkey and Pakistan, both of which are important members of the OIC.
