Pak forex figure stands at $22.698b

Karachi—The total liquid foreign exchange reserves of the country stood at $ 22.698 billion, said State Bank of Pakistan. SBP’s weekly statement here on Thursday stated, the foreign reserves held by the State Bank on Sept. 16 were $ 17,657.2 million and the net foreign reserves held by commercial banks amounted $ 5,040.7 million.
During the week, SBP’s the liquid foreign exchange reserves decreased by $ 197 million to $ 17,657 million, compared to $17,854 million in the previous week. Over this period, SBP made payments of $ 239 million on account of external debt servicing.
