Orientation session for new batch of Dow Dental College

Karachi—Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) hosted an orientation session, at Dow Medical College off Ojha Campus for the students admitted to first year of its bachelor in dental sciences (BDS) programme 2016.
Prof Masood Hameed Khan, Vice Chancellor, Dow University of Health Sciences on the occasion extensively discussed the curriculum and teaching methodology with the fresh entrants at Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan Institute of Oral Health Sciences, Dow International Dental College and Dow Dental College.
The Session was attended by the senior faculty members, students as well as their parent and guardians. Prof. Masood Hameed Khan also mentioned that DUHS has established a series of high standard educational and research institutes to facilitate the students.
He reminded the students that they have been bestowed a responsibility to serve human beings and to facilitate them with a good health.
Prof. Dr. Rana Masood, Director Quality Enhancement Cell, DUHS congratulated students for being able to get admission to prestigious DIDC and shared with them her vast experience in the field of studies and extracurricular activities.
She on the occasion also invited them, alongwith other students, to participate in upcoming Dow Olympics. Dr Ashar Afaq, Vice Principal DIDC presented a brief introduction of faculty, curriculum and rules and regulations. Dr Farzeen, Assistant Professor Oral Biology, took oath from the students. Dr Jaffar Abbas Zaidi, Assistant Professor Oral Biology, offered vote of thanks.—APP
