NWA’s traders hails opening of Ghulam Khan Highway

Islamabad—Union of International Traders of dry fruits and vegetables of North Waristan Agency hailed the opening of Ghulam Khan Highway on Monday and said that free trade would soon start from Pakistan to Afghanistan and Middle East.
Talking to APP on Telephone the leaders of Union urged that government should take steps and establish International Market of Dry Fruits and Vegetables.
The per truck charges were US$ 40000 from Chamman Quetta to Russia for 40 days while through Ghulam Khan road, it costs around US$ 15000 to 20000 for 18 to 20 days transportation time. Million dollars losses beard by traders due to the blockage of roads during the curfew during 2007 to 2014.
The president of Dry fruits and Vegetable Union Malik Akhtar Khan and other office bearers appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Army and Political Administration for opening the Ghulam Khan Highway, and called for the early establishment of a building for dry fruits and vegetables market in Miran Shah.—APP
