Islamabad—A local court in Islamabad issued non-bailable arrest warrants for former president Gen. (retd) Pervez Musharraf in Ghazi Abdul Rashid murder ca-
se.
Additional Session Judge Pervez Qadir Memon issued the non-bailable arrest warrants and directed authorities concerned to produce the former president before court on March 16.
The court dismissed the plea of Pervaiz Mushararf for permanent exemption from appearing in the case and issued non-bailable arrest warrants.
The counsel of Musharraf said they would challenge the order.
The former president never appeared before the court during 55 hearings of Ghazi Abdul Rasheed murder case.
This is fourth non-bailable arrest warrants for Musharraf in this case.
The former military ruler had filed a petition with the court, seeking permanent exemption from appearing in the case.
The court had reserved its verdict on February 13 after conclusion of arguments on the petition.
