No water supply in Iqbal town

We the residents of Iqbal Town Rawalpindi want to draw attention of Chief Minister of Punjab through your esteemed newspapers that there is no water supply for the last more than six weeks. The WASA Phone Nos 1334 and 4456628 are dead and WASA complaint centres are not listening and attending genuine complaints of consumers.
First it was told by the WASA to residents that cleaning work of Khanpur dam is under going, and now it is said that repairing of water lines is under progress. Repair work is going very slowly at the site and it seems that this repair work will continue till end of this year. Similarly, the WASA has not made any alternative arrangements for the residents.
More unfortunate is that WASA is not providing water tankers on approved rates, which is Rs 100 per tanker. It is charging Rs 1000/- to Rs 1400 per tanker and is not giving any receipt to consumers. The residents are in great troubles due to the callous attitude of WASA’s authorities. We appeal Chief Minister of Punjab to kindly order restoration of water supply and take action against officials at fault.
