Sindh squad for Jr Swimming named

Karachi—Sindh’s top international swimmer Mazhar Naqvi has been named to lead a 24-member provincial squad in 15th National Boys Age Group Swimming and 2nd Water Polo Championships being held at PNS Karsaz Pool from November 21-23, Sindh Swimming Association (SSA) announced here.
The event will be contested in three age groups under-12, 14 and 16 and four teams Punjab, NWFP, Federal Territory and host Sindh will be taking part.
Secretary SSA Muhammad Ali Shishmahal said team was picked on the basis of performance in the recently concluded Sindh Junior championship.
He said they will be banking lots of hopes on Captain Mazhar to show his class after winning a record nine gold and four silver medals.
Free Style, Breast-stroke, Back-stroke, Butterfly, Individual Medley and Relay races will be competed with 12 events.—APP
