Khyber Agency—The Pakistani border authorities at Pak-Afghan border Torkham have foiled a bid to smuggle narcotics from Afghanistan and arrested the smuggler.
Official of the political administration of Torkham told mediamen on Saturday that the deployed personnel at Torkham stopped an Afghan citizen and recovered 10 Kg of hashish. The drug peddler was identified as Nooristan. Hashish was concealed in ghee cans.
The arrested person has sent to Landikotal lock-up for further interrogation. Meanwhile the custom department officials told mediamen that they have recovered 150 mobile phone sets of millions rupees from a truck.
