ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has submitted the reference against ousted prime minister Nawaz sharif and his sons Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz at the Accountability Court Islamabad after removing the objections raised by the Registrar Office of the Accountability Court on September 8.
NAB has also filed additional documents pertaining to London flats along with the reference filed under Section 18-G of the NAB Ordinance 1999. NAB has based on the report of the six-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT) which probed the Panama Papers case as per the order of the Supreme Court.
The reference which names Nawaz sharif and his two sons as accused is filed as per the order of the Supreme Court.
It may be mentioned here that Registrar Office raised objections over the references for not filing complete copies of the references in the court. It had returned the references by raising objections and asking the NAB prosecution team to remove the same and refile.
On Thursday NAB’s Executive Board of the National Accountability Bureau had given the approval to file the references.
