NAB case against Pervez Ashraf: AC records statements of two witnesses

LAHORE : An accountability court on Saturday

accepted former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf

application for exemption from personal appearance

before the court in a NAB reference.

 

An accountability court heard NAB reference against the

former Prime Minister Ashraf and others over alleged

illegal appointments in Gujranwal Electric Power

Company.

 

When the court resumed hearing of the case, the former

PM’s counsel moved an application seeking exemption from

personal appearance in the court. The court while

accepting the plea asked the counsel to ensure his

client appearance in the court on next date of hearing.

 

The court recorded the statement of two NAB witnesses in

the case including Director Gepco Tahir Mahmood and

Admin Manager Waqar Ahmed. The court after recording the

deposition of the two witnesses directed NAB to produce

other accused in next date of hearing.

 

The court adjourned further hearing of the case till

October, 28 , 2017.
