MQM resolution on liberation of Junagadh

Karachi—MQM Pakistan moved a resolution on private members’ day in the Sindh Assembly Tuesday, demanding liberation of Junagadh State from Indian occupation and its merger with Pakistan, because that was the original agreement at the time of partition in 1947.
The resolution, decrying Indian usurpation of the former princely State into Indian union through use of brute force, recalled that the then ruler of the State had desired accession to Pakistan, but the Indians moved force to conquer it against the wishes of the people.
It asked for mobilizing international support for its emancipation and free access to Pakistan. The people of the former State wanted that. Their wishes must be honoured, the resolution said.
