MPCL donates bus to girls high school

Islamabad—Mari Petroleum Company (MPCL) in an impressive ceremony at village Pail Mirza, Tehsil Sohawa handed over a school bus along with other office equipment worth Rs 6 Million to Government Girls High School Pail Mirza, Ghauri Block as its Corporate Social obligation.
Speaking at the occasion, Lt Gen Nadeem Ahmed (Retd) MD/CEO MPCL said, that MPCL is totally committed towards the uplift of national economy by exploring & producing maximum Oil & Gas. However, our efforts span beyond the scope of our core business and we try our best to deliver quality social welfare schemes in our areas of operations throughout Pakistan.
The Managing Director further said that provision of school bus will ease the transportation of school girls in the area, who have to travel long distances to reach the school. He also announced an amount of Rs One Million as additional donation to Pail Mirza Government Girls High School for its renovation and improvement of laboratory and other school facilities.
Besides renovation of school and provision of additional resources to the local school, MPCL has reconstructed the local BHU building in the adjacent Karunta village with Rs. 9.3 Million and installed number of fresh drinking water pumps in the area.
Mr Iqbal Hussain Khan (DCO Jhelum), AC Sohawa Mrs Shazia Nargis Ch, Mr Raja Sadaqat, head of school Management Committee and Principal Government Girls High School Pail Mirza Mrs Ghazala Awan were present at the occasion, they thanked MPCL for their outright support for the uplift of local population through CSR projects and visited the social welfare projects in the area.
