In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyet forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the puppet authorities for their aggressive and dictatorial approach in dealing with resistance leadership. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who is under house arrest, was speaking over phone to the participants of a blood donation camp organized in the vicinity of Srinagar Jama Masjid in connection with Martyrdom Week programmes, today.
He said, we are forcibly disallowed from even commemorating our beloved martyrs or peacefully protest the tyranny of Indian forces. He said such diversionary tactics and thrusting of bans and curbs to contain the situation will not work.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that people of Kashmir and the leadership were clear that it was for the cause that great sacrifices had been made and were being made by one and all in Kashmir.
He appealed to the people to make the programme of 21st May a success and participate in large numbers in paying homage to their beloved leaders. Meanwhile as per the programme of Joint resistance leadership a protest rally was held at Jama Masjid, Srinagar, against slapping of draconian PSA on Aasiya Andrabi and other political activists.—KMS
