In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has filed a complaint against a New Delhi-based female TV journalist, with the police for barging into his bedroom without permission.
Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing a news conference at his Abi Guzar office in Srinagar said, “I was sleeping when an Indian female TV journalist Kamaljit Sandu barged into my bedroom. She never called for an appointment.”
He said that the gesture of the journalist triggered his anger and he snatched her phone. She then created a scene by crying and alleging that I manhandled her, which is not true, Yasin Malik said.
Yasin Malik said that Indian media was taking diktats from Indian Army to defame freedom movement in Kashmir. “She had lied to my sister that she had fixed an appointment with me. The fact is she never called for an appointment,” he said, adding that the reporter started video recording with her mobile.
Yasin Malik challenged the Indian media to prove whether he has bought any property in the name of freedom movement. “I have a two-room house in Maisuma, which belongs to my mother. I don’t have any property anywhere,” he said.
