Malala speaks for Kashmiris

Javaid Bashir

Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has asked the United Nations, International Community, Pakistan and India to cooperate and save the people of Kashmir against the use of brutal force by the Indian Army. The conscience of the world needs to be jolted.
She quipped that people of Kashmir deserve the protection of their basic human rights like other people of the world. We need to learn from her and raise our voices against the cruel treatment being meted out to the Kashmiris. The cold war is over and in the 21st Century this brutality cannot be tolerated. She has correctly stated the case for the protection of human rights should be extended to the people of Kashmir too. We commend her on her bold stand. The world should take heed of her noble cause and comments.
