Mainly hot and dry weather was expected to continue in most parts of the country in next 24 hours. Continental air is prevailing over most part of the country, an official of Met office told APP. In last 24 hours weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country.
Maximum temperatures recorded on Wednesday were Sh. Benazirabad 43°C, Lasbela, Turbat, Karachi 42°C, Thatta 41°C, Dadu, Hyderabad, Sibbi 40°C, Lahore 37°C, Multan 37°C, Faisalabad 36°C, Peshawar 35°C, Muzaffarabad 34°C, Islamabad 33°C, Dir 32°C, Chitral 30°C, Quetta 29°C, Gilgit 28°C, Skardu 24°C and Murree 23°C.
The prolong dry weather in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi causes various infections like throat infection, flu and skin allergies which effect the citizens specially among children rise in seasonal infections may take shape of an epidemic if rain not occured in coming days.
Dry weather accompanied with high pollution level in the air, respiratory problems and complications for patients with asthma every year across the country. Health expert Dr Kausar said that in dry weather, specially children suffer from several allergies including skin allergies throat infection immediate rain as well as heavy wind is needed to cleanse the air quality.
She said patients along with healthy people should start drinking green tea or water with honey. Chicken soup can also helps to relief throat problems.—APP
