Lahore—Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan on Wednesday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan had been exposed to the nation due to his protest politics.
Speaking to the media at the Punjab Assembly Cafeteria on Wednesday, he said Imran Khan had made the nation hostage since 2013 with politics of confrontation and protest.
The minister advised Imran Khan to let the government work for the welfare and prosperity of the masses. He said law and order situation was well and under control in the province. He added the Punjab chief minister had taken serious notice of incidents of dacoity at Sanda and Faisal Town, and directed to arrest the accused within 72 hours. Police would arrest them soon, he added.
He said experience of launching Dolphin Squad remained good and desired results were coming. Referring to a statement of Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah, Sanaullah said the Opposition had a right to point out issues but it should be within democratic norms.”We will welcome it,” he added.
Replying a question, the minister said the Lahore Safe City Project would be completed by May 2017. The Rs 12 billion project, he said, would help minimise crime rate and it would be extended to six other cities. To another question, Sanaullah said local bodies system would become functional in Punjab by December 2016 and a process of appointing mayors would also be accomplished.
