Kashmiri women leaders condemn Indian killings of youth

Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders Aasiya Andrabi, Zamurda Habib, Yasmeen Raja and Farida Behanji have condemned the brutalities unleashed by Indian armed forces in Kareemabad area of Pulwama district, yesterday.
The Kashmiri women leaders in their statements in Srinagar said that Indian troops barged into the houses of the Kareemabad village, ransacked households, damaged property worth millions and misbehaved with women. The troops also subjected the inmates to brutal torture, they added.
Over 150 people were injured injured in the firing of pellets and bullets by Indian troops on participants of anti-India rally in Kareemabad area alone, yesterday.
A large number of troops have been deployed in north, south and central Kashmir to prevent people from taking out anti-India rallies.
The women leaders urged the international community to take cognizance of Indian brutalities on unarmed people in the occupied territory.—KMS
