ITA to hold two Tennis C’ships from Oct 26-30

Islamabad—Islamabad Tennis Association will hold two back to back ATT Tour Tennis Championships from October 26-30 here. The 1st ATT Tour Federal Cup is the revival of international tennis in Pakistan after the gap of 10 years. The main draw will be consisting of 16 players. 10 players will be accepted directly as per ATP ranking; for players will qualify from the qualifying draw of 16 and two wild cards will be awarded below the age of 23 years. This tournament will carry the cash prize of US $5000/- which will be distributed among all the main draw players. Winner will get 12 valuable points along with Prize Money of US $900/- whereas the runner-up will get 7 ranking points and US $600/-
Tariq Mehmood Murtaza President Islamabad Tennis Association held a meeting and finalized all the arrangements for the success of these events. He said this tournament will provide an opportunity to our young players to display their skill during the tournament, The second leg of the tournament will be named Syed Tajammul Abbas Memorial ATT Tennis Championships starting from 26th October.
Arif Qureshi will officiate as Referee, whereas Shahzad Akhtar Alvi ITF White Badge Official designated as Chair Umpire. Muhammad Khalil Chughtai designated as Tournament Director.
Askari Bank Limited is Co-Sponsor of the Event whereas two more leading companies will come forward as co-sponsors of the ATT Tour. All the players accepted into the qualifying draw and on-site alternate players are advised to ensure their sign-in personally with the Referee on 22nd October 2016.
