Islamic Relief executes 300 projects for people’s welfare

A media familiarization session was held at Islamic Relief Pakistan’s headquarter. The objective behind the activity was to inform media and public about projects executed in different areas, and their importance in development of the country.
A large number of journalists from different media houses attended the session. The participants were briefed on the catastrophic consequences of Climate Change in Pakistan and what steps are needed to be taken to minimize them.
Sarmad Iqbal, Advocacy specialist of Islamic Relief Pakistan shared the details and impact of the projects carried out by IRP across Pakistan in the context of Climate Change.
Mr. Adnan Cheema, Country Director Islamic Relief Pakistan in his address said “Islamic Relief has completed its 25 years journey in Pakistan.
We reached over 6 million people in some of the remotest areas of Pakistan and executed more than 300 projects in different sectors like health and nutrition, livelihood and food security, Islamic Microfinance, Disaster Risk Reduction, Emergency Response, Water and Sanitation”.
