Islamabad United to hold series of events as part of PSL Trophy celebrations

Islamabad—Islamabad United and Leonine Global Sports will hold a series of events as part of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Trophy Celebrations over the course of next week.
“Present as part of the celebrations will be Wasim Akram, Dean Jones, Misbah-ul-Haq and all available Islamabad players, including those who were not selected for the Pakistan T20 team for the series against the West Indies”, Rehan Ulhaq, team manager Islamabad United told media here on Friday.
He said on Monday (September 19), an event will be hosted by Islamabad Region Cricket Association at the National Cricket Ground, while on the evening of the same day there would be an event with general public at the Centaurus Mall.
“An exhibition match between two teams comprising of Islamabad United and Islamabad Region players will be held on Tuesday Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi. The two teams will be headed by Dean Jones and Wasim Akram respectively, with Misbah-ul-Haq and Mohammad Sami as the two captains, respectively,” he added.
Islamabad United team had defeated Quetta Gladiators in the final match of first season of PSL by six wickets in February, this year.—APP
