Iran hands over 61 Pakistanis

Iranian authorities handed over 61 Pakistani immigrants to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) at Taftan border in Balochistan’s Chagai district on Sunday. The detained immigrants were residing in Iran sans legal documents; Radio Pakistan quoted official sources as saying.
The development comes just over a week after authorities from the neighbouring country handed over more than 35 Pakistani immigrants to FIA at Taftan border. On the same day, law enforcement agencies claimed to have arrested eight criminals along the Pak-Iran border in Mashkail area after recovering arms and ammunition from their possession.—INP
