Int’l photography competitions launched

Two separate Int’l Photography competitions were formally launched here on Friday to give cash awards to the winners. These will be live worldwide competitions, taking place simultaneously through stock photography website ( ), announced by its Chief Executive Saqib Rizvi.
The last date for receiving the pictures is April 15 and its entry is free of cost. It is the first time that the Pakistani stock-photographic network has announced Live competitions so that the professional and upcoming photographers could get due recognition of their hard work. This is also for their encouragement and introducing them at the international level.
The first competition is for the upcoming and immature photographers whose work will be evaluated and judged through online voting. While second competition has been designed for professional photographers, their worth will be decided by a panel of judges for awarding cash prizes.
Result will be updated at the website as and when the judges decide the winners after going through image of each picture.
Saqib Rizvi assured that transparency will be maintained in the whole process to adjudge the best photographers. Cash award will be in US dollars 150 for each competition. The competitors will be required to showcase their photograph on the website before the scheduled date.
Such an initiative gives opportunity to photographer community to show their talents as well as to promote Pakistan’s good image abroad.
Since the launching of the website, there is a overwhelming response from various circles of the society, he added.
