Indonesia has doubled Pakistan’s Kinnow export


Islamabad—Federal Minister for Commerce, Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan Thursday said Indonesia has doubled Pakistan’s Kinnow Export Season after review of Preferential Trade Agreement between the two countries. Initially, import of kinnow from Pakistan was restricted to months of February and March only which has now been doubled from January to April.
Official notification to this effect has been made by the Indonesian government. In a statement issued here, he said, due to the success of the economic diplomacy of the present Government, the popular demand of the Kinnow exporters has been met by enhancing access to Indonesian market.
The minister reiterated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the government is relentlessly working for promotion of trade and within the coming months more Free Trade Agreements will be signed that will open up new markets for Pakistani products.—APP
