Kashmir reels under unmitgated curbs

Pulwama, Ihk—In occupied Kashmir, an Indian soldier was injured in an attack in Pulwama district, Sunday.
The attackers opened fire on Indian forces from a government complex near Pampore town area of the Pulwama district, an official told media men.
The attackers were trapped inside the seven-floor hostel building of Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) located on the banks of the Jhelum River, the official claimed. An Indian army soldier was hit by a bullet and has been evacuated to a nearby hospital, he added.
Another police official said that the attackers had lit fire inside the ground floor to block entry. He said an Indian army man has received a bullet injury in his foot, reportedly due to misfire from his own rifle.—KMS
