In occupied Kashmir, APHC General Secretary and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmad Shah has said that the policy of oppression and coercion does not last long.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar held India responsible for the prevailing political uncertainty in the occupied territory.
“The people of India should realise how their government keeps them in dark about the reality of Kashmir and is resorting to the worst kind of human rights violation in the territory,” he said.
Shabbir Shah asked the people of India that the freedom movement of Kashmir was the same as India launched against the British rule and the Kashmiris particularly the youth were on the forefront of the struggle the same way as Mohandas Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Bhagat Singh, Ishfaq Ullah, Subash Chandra Bose and other leaders fought for India.
The DFP Chairman also condemned the attack of Indian forces on shops and other institutions in Kulgam and Islamabad.
The PDP-led regime in its slavery of New Delhi has waged a war against the people of Kashmir, he said, and expressed solidarity with the injured persons.
Shabbir Shah appealed to the international human rights bodies and the world community to fulfill their responsibilities towards settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
Meanwhile, the DFP spokesman in a statement in Srinagar, while condemning the continued house arrest of Shabbir Shah said that he had spent 30 years of his life in jails and the occupation authorities were subjecting him to political vengeance.—KMS
