India is backing terrorism in Pakistan: Khawaja Asif

Staff Reporter

Islamabad—Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Tuesday said terrorism was the biggest enemy of Pakistan, accusing India and elements at the western frontiers of fueling the menace which has devoured thousands of lives including civilians and officials of the armed forces.
“There was a single enemy in ’65, today we are confronted with foes at several fronts. Some enemies are across the border while others are internal, but the biggest enemy is terrorism inside the country,” Asif said in a TV interview.
The whole nation is commemorating the national Defence Day to honour and commemorate the sacrifices of Pakistan Army’s soldiers, who gave their lives for the defence of the motherland.
