Islamabad—Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday issued stay-order on recruitment process in various departments of District Administration Islamabad. Justice Athar Minallah heard the case filed by 57 former employees of chief commissioner and deputy commissioner offices. Counsels of the petitioners Aamir Nadeem Tabish, Hafiz Ali Asghar and Hafiz Safeer Khadim appeared before the court.
Petitioners have stated that they served in various departments of the ICT administration for five years but the administration dismissed them forcibly without assigning any reason or justification.
They pointedout that the administration has initiated a process of recruitment which was their right as they were working for many years.
After hearing the arguments, the court issued stay-order against recruitment process.
It may be mentioned here that the ICT administration announced more than 210 posts in its various departments including chief commissioner & deputy commissioner office, Excise and Taxation Department, Health Department, Cooperative Housing Societies Department and others last month.
