IGP Sindh condemns target killing of policemen

Karachi—The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, has vehemently condemned the targeted killing of policemen and termed this as a very dangerous trend. A police spokesman said in a statement here on Saturday that the IGP has called for proactive policing against criminals, terrorist elements, their sponsors and facilitator on the basis of secret information.
The IGP further directed that action against such elements should be intensified. He also called for daily briefings at police stations and headquarters levels regarding the movements and method of crimes. The IGP instructed that on the basis of such information, concrete and effective action against the criminals be ensured. Meanwhile Three boys were detained on Friday night after three schoolgirls went missing in Karachi’s Saudabad locality earlier in the day. According to details, the girls, Bisma, Iqra and Rabiya , did not return to their houses on Friday after school. The parents of the girls said that they had dropped the girls to the school themselves. However, the school administrations said that the girls did not attend school on Friday. The parents, later on, lodged the missing complaint in Saudabad police station.
