Hurriyet leaders pay homage to martyr Hameed Wani

In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders and activists paid glorious tributes to prominent martyred liberation leader, S Hameed Wani, on his martyrdom anniversary Tuesday.
Indian police had arrested S Hamid Wani on April 18, 1998 in Soura area of Srinagar and killed him in custody. Hurriyet leaders and activists including Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Muhammad Musaddiq Aadil, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Shakeel Ahmad Bakhshi, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Javaid Ahmad Mir, Hakeem Abdur Rasheed, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Syed Saleem Gilani, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Tahoor Sidiqi, Rouf Aasmi, Master Maqbool, Khursid Ahmad, Abdul Majeed Pathan, Jaffer Kashmiri, Basheer Ahmad Tota, Ghulam Qadir Rah, Umer Khalid, Muhammad Maqbool Sofi, Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, Ghulam Muhammad Mir and Sheikh Musaib visited Martyrs’ Graveyard at Eidgah in Srinagar, today, and participated in a condolence meeting.
Addressing the gathering, the leaders said that S Hameed Wani and other Kashmiri martyrs had laid down their lives for a great cause and their sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste. They said that the mission of Kashmiri martyrs would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs.
The leaders also visited the Ahmadnagar area of Srinagar and expressed solidarity with the family members of S Hameed Wani.—KMS
