Home Minister Suhail Anwar Sial chaired a meeting to discuss the law and order situation in the province.
A statement on Wednesday said that he also issued necessary directives in this regard.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh A.D. Khawaja and the provincial Home Secretary were also present on the occasion.
The matters also came up for discussion including recruitment of ex-servicemen in Sindh police as well as process of recruitment of the successful candidates for the posts of constables for Rapid Response Force (RRF), Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
The meeting also considered matter pertaining to newly approved vacancies of constables for Special Protection Unit (SPU).
The meeting reviewed the Sindh Police’s strategy for security during Muharram and called for making security foolproof.
The Minister directed the officers concerned that the Ulema and Zakirs from various schools of thoughts as well as the stakeholders should also be taken in to confidence with regard to security measures during Muharram.
