HBL Chairman lauds govt’s reforms measures

Islamabad—Chairman Habib Bank Limited Sultan Ali Allana, Thursday, appreciated the reforms undertaken by the government, which he said have given a boost to the economy of the country. In a meeting with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, he said that HBL was collaborating with the government on the opportunities made available for expanding financial services in Pakistan through the National Financial Inclusion Strategy.
Allana also congratulated the Finance Minister on being awarded with the “Finance Minister of the year 2016 for South Asia” award recently and said that this recognition by the international community is a matter of pride for Pakistan and will boost the confidence of the financial services industry of the country. He also conveyed the good wishes of His Highness the Agha Khan for Pakistan’s prosperity. The Finance Minister appreciated the initiative of the HBL to open a branch in Urumqi, China and wished the bank success in this new venture. He thanked Chairman HBL for his good wishes and requested to convey his best wishes to Agha Khan.
In a separate meeting with Chairman Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), Rauf Alam, Finance Minister said that the business community should continue collaborating with the government to ensure value addition and technological advancement in provision of products and services.
