Farooq Sattar arrested, released

Leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan Dr Farooq Sattar who was arrested by police on Friday night and was shifted to Chakiwara police station, was released later.
According to private TV news channel, Dr Farooq Sattar was taken into custody from near the Pakistan Air Force Museum on the orders of the court by South Investigation Police.
He was returning after attending a wedding ceremony at PAF Museum when his car was stopped and he was arrested. It may be mentioned here that court has already issued orders to police to arrest Dr Sattar.
Sources said Sattar was taken into custody in a case pertaining to August 22 anti-Pakistan speech by MQM founder and attack on ARY television station in Karachi.
It was also reported that a heavy contingent of the Police had reached the temporary headquarters of the MQM (Pakistan) at PIB colony.
