Equitable distribution of water first priority of KWSB: MD

Karachi—Managing Director Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, Misbahuddin Fareed has said equitable distribution of water in the city is first priority of the water board. He said steps are being taken for continous and indistcriminate distribution of water.
He said this while addressing a ceremony at Karachi Press Club here on Wedneday. He said around 500 ghost employees had been sacked so far from the Water Board while matter is under procedure to take action against the remaining ghost employees.
He said over 193 illegal hydrants had been demolished while 2100 illegal water connection disconnected. The MD KWSB said a total 250 OPS officers have been revertd to their original post in compliance of the orders of the court.
He said steps were also being taken to provide water to the journalists colony, on the directives of Sindh Miniser for Local Bodies. Secretray KPC A.H. Khanzada, Joint Secretary Rizwan Bhatti, Treasurer Hanif Akber and other senior jounalists were also present.
